Lucanian cuisine is the cuisine of the southern Italian region of Basilicata. It's a peasant cuisine based on local meats - particularly pork and lamb -, legumes, cereals and produce. Basilicata was the first region of Italy to adopt pasta, and it has the highest pasta consumption rates in the country.
For my project, I made a couple of typical Lucanian dishes and a new and somewhat innovative one:
Related cuisines I've explored so far: Italian, Abruzzese, Calabrian, Campanian, Caprese, Corsican, Emilian-Romagnan, Florentine, Friulian, Italian Renaissance, Italian-American, Lazian, Ligurian, Lombard
