Cretan food falls fully within the Greek culinary repertoire. It presents simple, light but full flavors. Seafood, of course, is a main feature of Cretan cuisine (though I one I didn't explore), but other traditional Mediterranean ingredients such as limes, oregano and cilantro showed up often in the recipes I made. As it's the case lately, I cooked different recipes on different nights.
