Other Cuisines Marga's Food |
Hungarian cuisine has its origin in the steppe, where nomadic cattle herders relied on meats and diary for their diet. With time and contacts with neighboring countries, the cuisine was enriched with new vegetables and spices - chief among them paprika. Classic cuisine is hearty and includes a large variety of meat and vegetable soups and stews. I tried several of the most famous ones in my Hungarian adventure, and most of what I made was quite delicious.
