The Iroquois was a confederacy of linguistically related Native American tribes who occupied the north eastern portion of what is now the United States. They were agriculturalists, who primarily planted corn, beans and squash - together known as the "three sisters" - who supplemented their diet by hunting, fishing and gathering vegetables, nuts and berries. This allowed them to have a varied, if not particularly complex, cuisine, which was later modified through colonization and contact with immigrant Europeans.
It wasn't particularly easy to find Iroquoian recipes, so I only made two - but these were surprisingly tasty.
