|Margarita's International Recipes|
This recipe for grilled tofu satay was very easy and well received. I served it with traditional Thai Peanut Sauce. Make sure to use the tamari soy sauce as it is more flavorful. You can use any sweet wine you want, I used madeira but the original recipe called for sherry.
Grilled Tofu Satay
1 package (14 oz) extra-firm tofu 1 tbsp. tamari soy sauce 1 tbsp. sesame oil 1 tbsp. madeira 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1" pieces
Slice the tofu into 1" slices. Pat dry. Cut across into 1" cubes and pat dry again.
Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil and madeira. Add tofu and red pepper and toss gently, coating well. Marinate in the refrigerator 30 minutes or overnight. Grill and serve.
