A very simple salad spiced up with a little ham. Still, there were no leftovers!
1 head of lettuce 1/4 tsp. salt a dash of cayenne pepper 1 tbsp. butter 3/4 cup cooked ham, diced 3 tbsp. wine vinegar 2 tbsp. water
Wash and pat dry lettuce. Tear leaves into large pieces and put in a salad bowl. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in a small saucepan. Fry the ham in the butter until lightly browned. Remove from heat and add vinegar and water. Pour over the lettuce, toss lightly and serve.
