Croatian cuisine is one of those cuisines that do not exist as such. Instead, it is a cuisine of regions - with mainland cuisine haven't been influence by the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian Empires and coastal cuisine being having greater Mediterranean influences. My ability to explore the different regions was limited by the dearth of Croatian recipes I found, and the lack of Croatian cookbooks at my local library. Still, I was very pleased with what I found. The Hunter's stew, in particular, was amazing.

Related cuisines I've explored so far: Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Dalmatian, Greek, Greek Jewish, Kosovar
