I'm not sure even now if there is a Berber cuisine that is different from the cuisines of the Maghreb, while clearly some of the most Maghrebi of dishes (like couscous) are of Berber origin, the Berber recipes I've cooked also seem to have been subject to foreign influences. I didn't find much information on Berber cuisine so I ended up cooking those recipes I could find. Fortunately they were very, very good. My menu (for four plus 2 children) consisted of:
- Algerian Bouzgene Berber Bread with Roasted Pepper Sauce
- Berber Vegetable Tagine
served with plain couscous- Berber Chicken with Fruited Rice
- Berber Crepes
