Brigadeiros are small candies that are very easy to make and also very good. My one complaint was that they did not held very well, they were really soft even after putting them in the freezer to harden. Still, everyone liked them - in particular the kids.
- can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder (sweetened or unsweetened)
- 2-3 packages chocolate sprinkles
In a small pan, mix the condensed milk with the butter, egg yolk and cocoa powder. Cook over low heat until the mixture loosens from the bottom of the pan, about 12 minutes. Stirr constantly.
Put the mixture on a grease plate. Cool completely. Roll small balls of the mixture in your hands and pass them through the sprinkles. Put on waxed paper. Refrigerate and serve.
