The Comoros Islands are situated in the Indian Ocean, near the southern part of Africa. As it is the case with most islands, it was conquered and colonized by diverse groups. Indonesians, Arabs, French and even Portuguese left their mark on Comorian cuisine. The dishes I cooked, indeed, were pretty different from each other. My menu consisted of
