Italian food is a favorite of people the world over. Its dishes has been incorporated into daily cuisine everywhere from Egypt to Argentina. I cooked Italian American cuisine right before I tackled Italian cuisine proper. But I have also explored, and will continue exploring, regional Italian cuisines (my list so far covers Abruzzo, Calabria, Capri, Corsica, Florence and Friuli). Still, I wanted to cover Italy as a whole by making some popular dishes that are not necessarily associated with a particular region. There is so much to chose from that I could have gone on and on, but I eventually had to move on. This is what I made:
